Rock Rose launches Jam Doughnut

Oh yes, it’s the gin doughnut lovers have been waiting for… Rock Rose Gin has launched the fourth gin in their creative series and it’s Jam Doughnut gin.

Following on from their spectacular Clootie Dumpling Gin, the team say they wanted to have a ‘wee bit of fun’ for the fourth and final gin of the Creative Collection and so, they came up with an incredibly creative way to distil doughnuts! They say:

We popped twenty or so delicious Perk doughnuts into Elizabeth’s botanical vapour basket, along with their homemade jam and some amazing Madagascan vanilla as well as lots of juniper. The result is a fun gin full of delightful strawberry and vanilla notes evoking thoughts of a yummy jam doughnut!

Claire Martin from Rock Rose Gin suggests we – “Try as a negroni – it is superb! Serve on a 1:1:1 ratio with Campari and vermouth, you’ll love it!

They chose illustrator Hannah Cambridge to design a fun and bright label that encapsulated the ‘spirit’ of this gin. We think she’s done a great job.

As for the gin – we doughnut know what it will taste like yet, but we really hope we’ll be jammy enough to have a try! If you fancy getting your hands on a bottle, check out the Rock Rose website.
