LBD Gin has a bigger, bolder sibling

You’ve met the un-limited original version of LBD (Little Black Dog) – a modern Scottish Gin, famously described as “Like sookin’ sherbet lemons, dipped in beeswax while sitting in a scots pine forest after the rain.” Well, prepare yourself to meet its big brother – Lattitude Strength – an “affa strong, Aberdeenshire-Foraged Gin. This is the high strength version of LBD GIN – Unlimited Edition and it’s not for the faint-hearted!

Distilled at 57.2° North and bottled at 57.2%abv. (When geotagging your foraged and grown ingredients isn’t enough, you have to bottle at Latitude Strength), this higher % gin is made using the same botanicals and distillation processes as the Unlimited Edition, but with less dilution, giving more flavour OOMPH and an even silkier mouthfeel.

According to the team at LBD Spirits, they think “our gin really sings at the higher abv and it’ll be affa fine in martinis, gimlets and negronis where you want the gin to punch through.”

Tasting notes

Nose: Lemon tango slap from the 90s while inhaling deep breaths of forest. All the petrichor.

Palate: Candied nasturtium petals, grapefruit segments and sherbert dib dab, washed down with herbal tea.

Finish: Rocket, white pepper and lemon dressing.

Key Botanicals: Wood sorrel, beech leaf, parsnip and birch sap. Oh yeah and juniper, lots of it.
