Seven Crofts Blood Red Rose A perfect Valentine’s Cocktail

Love can be bittersweet. This delicious cocktail, created by Highland Liquor Company and Scottish Mixology with Scottish Mixology, uses Seven Crofts gin which has tasting notes of cardamom and coriander blended with some traditional sour ingredients like seasonal blood oranges and rose liquor.

Seven Crofts gin was inspired by the first seven dwellings that formed the Highland fishing village of Ullapool, over 200 years ago. A classic London dry gin style using seven botanicals for complex depth of flavour, the gin is incredibly versatile for using in cocktails.

Looking for something a bit stronger? Highland Liquor Company’s latest release is Fisherman’s Strength, a new navy strength (57% ABV) bottling of Seven Crofts gin launched in October 2020. Like Seven Crofts, Fisherman’s Strength’s was inspired by its setting. It celebrates the village’s thriving fishing community and the fact that Ullapool was originally founded by the British Fisheries Society.

Seven Crofts Gin retails at £40 for 70cl bottle, while Seven Crofts Fisherman’s Strength Gin retails at £48 for 70cl bottle. Both are available online at www.highlandliquorcompany.com as well as in selected retailers and bars.
