Launch of new Inverclyde Gin ‘for locals by locals’

The team at The Start-Up Drinks Lab in Port Glasgow has helped many drinks brands of all sizes get their products to market and now, they have launched a new craft Scottish Gin that is local to their base in Port Glasgow.

The newly launched Inverclyde gin’s motto is ‘for locals, by locals’ and the team are proud to employ 7 locals to work the production line that bottles the gin.

Helping to lead the operation is office manager, Calvin McKenna and his colleague Craig Porter, client manager. Craig said

“Our founders, Hannah Fisher and Craig Strachan, wanted to launch a company that helps drinks brands, regardless of their size, take their products through from concept to shelf in as little as three months.

“We have our own, dedicated small batch bottling facility so as well as helping other companies with their visions, we wanted to do something for the people of Inverclyde.

“We’ve had local people involved in every stage of the process – particularly with the design of the bottle, as we wanted to capture Inverclyde as best we could.

As a small batch gin, the first batch of 250 bottles has already sold out, so they are taking pre-orders for the second batch, which is currently in production.

We’re excited to see this new Scottish gin coming to the market and supporting employment in its’ local area. According to the brand’s website, the new Scottish Gin has a ‘nautical aroma’ from the sea buckthorn used in production. It looks and sounds great and we hope to get to taste it in the near future.

You can pre-order your bottle of Inverclyed Gin here.
