New Spring Gin supports Edinburgh social enterprise

A new Scottish Gin launched last weekend, and not only is it a very tasty Edinburgh Gin, but the profits will support a fantastic local social enterprise venture.

Edinburgh Food Social is a social enterprise that works with young people in the city, to help train and educate them in local, healthy and fresh food production, and over the past 3 years, they have drastically improved the outcomes for kids from multiple schools across Edinburgh.

Their new project is an ambitious one – to create a Food Training Hub in Edinburgh, where they can teach young people from disadvantaged backgrounds all about the amazing world of food, developing their passion and opening doors to careers in the hospitality industry.

They have launched a crowdfunding appeal to raise the £20,000 they need to launch the Food Hub and are offering a range of amazing rewards for supporters, one of these being bottles of their house gin.

The first expression is called ‘Spring Gin’ which has been distilled by the team at the Edinburgh Gin distillery. Full of Spring botanicals, wood sorrel, yarrow and gorse flower, the gin is zesty and delicious and they recommend you enjoy it with apple and a sprig of thyme.

Do you like the thought of owning a bottle of this limited edition gin, while at the same time supporting a fantastic social enterprise that will make a real difference to the lives of many young people in Edinburgh? Head over to the Edinburgh Food Social’s Crowdfunder page and browse the range of rewards – from bottles of Spring Gin to corporate dining events – make your donation and feel great about supporting a very worthwhile cause!
