New Scottish Gin Festival to kick start Edinburgh Fringe

The Edinburgh International Fringe Festival is getting an exciting new twist for 2019 with its very first Gin Festival, hosted by the team that brings you The Gin Fayre events.

Award-winning events company Earles & Co., are launching this festival to showcase some of the very best Scottish Gins from across the country in the amazing setting of The Mansfield Traquair Centre on Saturday 3rd August.

It’s looking like a brilliant line-up with some firm favourites like Isle of Harris Distillers; Crafty Distillery – the makers behind Hills & Harbour Gin; Boë Gin; Esker Spirits; Darnley’s Gin; amongst some of the newer Scottish Gins such as Kilty Gin; Fidra Gin and The Gael.

Visitors to the festival will be able to meet the people behind the brands, learn their stories, taste the gin and of course, buy a bottle – or two! – to take home and enjoy.

Tickets are £22 and for that, you’ll get entry to the festival, a Gin Handbook, a welcome cocktail and samples from all of the brands present at the festival. Sound good? Book your tickets here.

Jasmine Wheelhouse, Managing Director of Earles & Co. said,

“We’re absolutely delighted with the amazing array of Scottish distilleries joining us for this event. We’ve got a mixture of brands – from those who have become household names more recently, to newer distilleries wanting to show the public their new product; there will be flavoured gins, colourful gins, gins that go well with prosecco, ginger ale, tonic and of course, the traditional London dry variety. We have really tried to make this an event for everyone, no matter if they are a gin connoisseur or a complete gin newbie!”

This looks like a fantastic way to kick off this year’s Edinburgh International Fringe Festival, with a G&T in hand of course!
