All they want for Christmas… is Gin!

With the massive selection of Scottish Gin products (and Christmas Gin Guides) available this year, we thought we’d ask some of our good gin friends what they would like to find under the tree and share our own gin-mas wishes.  Here’s the wish list:

John McIver, Founder, GinFall

Out of all the Gin Christmas novelty items, I think the Makar Gin Stars look the best, so a big batch of these for the Christmas tree would be great – as long as the kids don’t open and drink them!!

Secondly, we had Illicit Gin at our last GinFall Festival and I was very impressed with their story, the bottling and of course the gin, which was packed full of warming spices, so I think their Christmas edition could be a real cracker – (pun intended).

Andrew Ligertwood, founder of Cushiedoos Tonic

I’d love the following (in no particular order): Pickering’s Gin baubles, Harris Gin tumblers, a Gin advent calendar, Sean Murphy’s Gin galore book

Lots of great new trade customers in 2019!

Martin Duffy, MD Solid Liquids

EVERYONE NEEDS TO ASK SANTA FOR A GIN CRUISE!  Vouchers available for 2019 from our website here – Also, can we all ask for peace in the gin world? Tried asking for total world peace before but didn’t happen so lets’ start smaller 😉

Blair Bowman, whisky consultant and author

Simple: An Arbikie Negroni and Isle of Harris G&T.

James Sutherland, 56 North and TalkGin Podcast

My Christmas Scottish gin wish list is as follows (in no order) – Rock Rose Christmas Jumper! – Gin Galore – Sean Murphy – Pickerings Baubles (classic now!) – Stirling Gin Gin Pig just looks fun – Electric Spirits that someone has drawn a Christmas tree on and a Gin Tour of a handful of distilleries I’ve not seen (Dunnet Bay and Isle of Harris to name two)

Stephen White, Founder, The Scottish Gin Society

Having drunk myself silly over, the last 3 years, trying to keep up with all of the new Scottish Gins that are emerging, I need a break from the wonderful spirit. So I’d like some accessories instead!

  • Eden Mills fabulous cocktail set
  • Some hand-painted gin goblets
  • And feet up at the fire reading Sean Murphy’s ‘Gin Galore’.

Clare Rennie, Founder Walter Gregor’s Tonic

It has to be Walter Gregor’s Mixer selection.

Sean Murphy, Journalist and Author

I would love the Illicit Christmas Spirit and the Isle of Harris martini glasses.  Failing that, I’d happily accept Rock Rose’s amazing gin bottle Christmas jumpers

Suzie Nelson, Brand & Business Development Manager, Bon Accord

I would like:

  • The full Bon Accord mixer range (of course, including Bon Accord Tonic, Rhubarb Soda and Salted Pink Grapefruit Soda!) to experiment with my favourite gins over the festive season!
  • A night at Ballintaggart Grandtully Hotel with a couple of G&T vouchers.
  • Vouchers for the Juniper Gin Cruise on the Union Canal.
  • A bottle of Edinburgh Gin 1670 with a couple of bottles of Bon Accord Tonic to make the perfect serve with added basil.

Alison Higgins, Brand Ambassador, The Scottish Gin Society

I would love to find Isle of Harris martini glasses, and Badvo’s gin, orange and lime marmalade under our tree.

Please drink responsibly and have a Merry Christmas from all the team at The Scottish Gin Society.
