The pink gin craze is far from a flash in the pan. Last month we ran a feature about the growing popularity of coloured gins, especially the pink ones and now, pink gin fans have something new to get excited about, as ALDI has announced another partnership with McQueen Gin.

McQueen Pink Gin is the latest creation from the Trossachs Distillery in Callander and will be exclusively available from Scottish ALDI stores from Monday (15 October) priced at just £19.99 (50cl, ABV 37.5%).

The release follows the incredible success of its Forest Fruits Colour Changing Gin through ALDI stores earlier this year.

The new and vibrant pink gin is infused with raspberries and cranberries to create a delicious fruity flavour, but, importantly, McQueen have ensured it still retains the unmistakable juniper-based flavour of a Gin.

No strangers to innovations in flavours, McQueen Gin recently won Gold and Bronze at the Scottish Gin Awards in the Speciality Gin of the Year category for their Mocha Gin and Spiced Chocolate Orange Gin creations.

Vicky McQueen, co-founder of McQueen Gin said: ‘Pink Gins are enjoying a surge in popularity and we have been working hard at the distillery to bring to market our own interpretation that will stand out from the crowd. After much experimentation, we hit upon just the right recipe, infused with raspberries and cranberries for a well-balanced yet subtle fruity flavour.

“To the naked eye it may look very vibrant however the flavour is perfectly soft and pleasing. By infusing the Gin again post-distillation, we’ve been able to intensify the fruity flavour, without losing the character of the spirit itself, which was very important to us. After the success of the Forest Fruits Colour Changing Gin earlier this year, we’re delighted to continue our strong relationship with ALDI with this latest release.”
