Celebrating the wonderful world of Scottish gin

At The Scottish Gin Society, we celebrate and promote Scottish Gin every day of the year, and we’d love to share in your celebrations on World Gin Day. This year it is on Saturday 9th June and we have created some exclusive content to help you celebrate the wonderfully diverse world of Scottish Gin.

As we discovered, working on our Scottish Distillery Map and A-Z of Scottish gins, the Scottish gin market is huge and continuing to grow. So, we decided to ask the gin-loving public on social media to vote for their favourite in a long list of Scottish gin brands.

We were astounded by the thousands of responses to our survey and delighted to see the diverse mix of responses – lots of people voting for lots of different gins.  Read about the survey results here.

From this, we’ve selected the top half dozen gin brands and got together with the talented mixologists at Juniper Events, who created 6 exclusive gin cocktails for you to enjoy this World Gin Day.

You can download the cocktail recipes by clicking on the image below.  The guys at Juniper Events have made recipes that are easy to follow and with ingredients you can source from your local supermarket.

And if you’re planning to try out some of these delicious cocktails, why not get together with friends and throw your own World Gin Day party?  To help inspire you, we’ve created a list of tips and suggestions you can download by clicking the image below.

Share your pictures of the cocktails or parties on social media, tagging The Scottish Gin Society and using #WGDParty.  We’ll be sharing the best images and the chosen winner, judging led by Juniper Events will receive a bottle of Isle of Harris Gin (voted No.1 in our survey).

We hope you enjoy World Gin Day responsibly and are inspired to try out some of the wonderful Scottish Gin brands you may not have tried yet.  We look forward to seeing your pictures online!
