Kintyre’s first Gin Festival comes to town.

On the weekend of the 20th – 22nd of April, it’s going to be all about the ‘Mull of Gintyre’ as the first Kintyre gin festival takes off!

The main Gintyre event will take place on Saturday the 21st of April, in the magnificently restored Campbeltown Town Hall.

Festival-goers will have the chance to meet the producers and try gins from local companies Beinn an Tuirc Distillers (Kintyre Gin) and William Cadenheads (Old Raj) as well as invited guest producers from around Scotland.

In the evening, the gins will be accompanied by jazz, with live music provided by Rose Rooms, one of Scotland’s leading Jazz ensembles.

A number of Fringe events are also planned for the weekend, including a Gin Dinner at the award-winning Ardshiel Hotel, an Open Day at Beinn an Tuirc Distillery on the Torrisdale Estate, a Cadenhead’s Cask-aged Gin Tasting and a special gin-related screening at the Historic Campbeltown Picture House.

Gintyre is a collaboration between Beinn an Tuirc Distillers, Explore Campbeltown and Campbeltown Town Hall. Beinn an Tuirc Distillers Director, Emma Macalister Hall, says, “our aim is to encourage visitors to come to Kintyre to experience this unique part of Scotland whilst taking the opportunity to sample some of Scotland’s finest gins.”
