On the rocks? Edinburgh Castle launches its first gin.

Edinburgh Castle, the iconic attraction in the centre of the Scottish Capital has launcged a new gin, created in collaboration with the award-winning Edinburgh Gin distillery.

The new small batch gin is inspired by Edinburgh’s rich history of gin and its gorse-clad spring landscape.  Gorse is a vibrant yellow flowering plant and it’s at the core of the distilling process for this new gin, adding a fresh, coconut aroma. Pink grapefruit and yuzu bring sweet, tart notes to the London Dry, while bee pollen accentuates the floral flavours of the gorse. On the finish, pink pepper delivers a long-lasting kick of heat.

Edinburgh Castle Gin is available to buy from the Historic Scotland website.
