New Scottish Gin launched that celebrates the beauty of Loch Lomond.

It was our pleasure to attend the launch of another new Scottish Gin, one that is inspired by and celebrates the iconic Scottish peal, Ben Lomond.

Ben Lomond Gin incorporates natural botanicals sourced from the surrounding area including hand-picked blackcurrants and locally foraged rowan berries, that create a soft sweetness in the taste.

The gin is presented in a statement purple bottle that captures the vibrant hues of upland heather in full bloom, and it is easy to tell that Ben Lomond Gin perfectly pulls inspiration from the unique flora, fauna and scenery of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

The gin is a London Dry style, and the bottle features The rowan tree, native to the UK and most commonly found in the Highlands of Scotland, is prominent in folklore and was thought to provide protection from enchantment.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Loch Lomond Group, which produces Ben Lomond Gin, said:

“We are extremely proud of our new Ben Lomond Gin. We spent a long time perfecting our recipe and crafting something unique for gin lovers to discover and enjoy. Loch Lomond and The Trossachs is renowned as one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK and our gin is inspired by this stunning area.”

The Ben Lomond Gin is so passionate about the local landscape that the brand has entered a partnership with leading conservation charity, the John Muir Trust.

Adam Pinder from the John Muir Trust said:

“Ben Lomond Gin’s naturally occurring botanicals and exquisitely-designed bottle will help to showcase Scotland’s wonderful landscapes, while the financial support it is providing to the Trust will enable us to continue our very important job of protecting and conserving wild land across the UK.”

Bottled at 43% ABV, Ben Lomond Gin is a vibrant and versatile spirit that can be enjoyed in many ways, however, the signature Perfect Serve is:
• Fill a balloon glass with ice
• Add 25ml of Ben Lomond Premium Scottish Gin
• Top with Fever Tree tonic
• Add blackberries and one wedge of lime
• Squeeze in one wedge of lime juice
• Softly stir three times to mix together and serve.
