Speyside’s Red Door Gin named as a finalist in the Gin Guide Awards

We are very excited to hear that Red Door Gin from Benromach Distillery is a finalist in the Writers’ Choice category at the prestigious Gin Guide Awards.

Finalists in the highly competitive Writers’ Choice category must be nominated by industry expert and Red Door Gin was chosen as one of the standout gins tasted by writers in the last year.

Launched in 2018 by family-owned Benromach Distillery, the small-batch, handcrafted gin is named after the distinctive red doors at Benromach Distillery in Speyside.

Shortly after launch, The Scottish Gin Society reviewed Red Door Gin and declared it “an instant favourite”, so we are very excited to hear that it is up for a top gin award and wish the team at Benromach Distillery every luck.

Andrew Hannah, Red Door Gin Brand Controller, said: It’s hugely rewarding for Red Door Gin to be acknowledged in this way by experts who recognise the skill and passion that our distillers put into producing every batch. With over 120 years of experience in the spirits industry, we set out to create a superb tasting gin with an authentic story, unquestionable quality and standout style.

“We are delighted to have received multiple nominations to reach the finals of the renowned Gin Guide Awards. We would like to thank all the writers who have enjoyed Red Door Gin since our launch last year, and who nominated us.”

Delivering signature flavours of juniper and a defining citrus note of bitter orange, aromatic sea buckthorn, floral pearls of heather and chocolatey rowanberries, Red Door Gin’s flavour profile is inspired by the mountains, forests and coasts of Scotland. It is lovingly crafted by a dedicated team of distillers and handmade in a copper pot still affectionately named ‘Peggy’.

Red Door Gin (45% abv) is available from specialist retailers with a UK RRP of £30.

Winners of the Gin Guide Awards will be announced on 30th April.
