Meet “Big Doogy” – McQueen Gin’s new still

Trossachs Distillery have a new arrival. Ahead of opening their doors to visitors on 1st April (we kid you not), they have welcomed “Big Doogy” the still, to join his little sister “Little Maggie” in the production of McQueen Gin.

Big Doogy is no ordinary still, he has been customised to meet McQueen Gin’s requirements. He was made using the purest copper and has taken 9 months to build and sports a Big Doogy nameplate.

So, what is he capable of? We’ve been informed Big Doogy has a volume capacity of 1,200 litres with an impressive output of 3,640 litres of finished gin per day. We can see where he gets his name from!

The arrival of Big Doogy to Trossachs Distillery has made us even more excited about the launch of their distillery tours in April. Click here to find out more.
