Look out London – here comes Scottish Gin!

Lucky Londoners are set to enjoy some of the best of the wonderful world of Scottish Gin as True OriGINs: The Scottish Gin Festival announces a brand-new four-day gin festival at the amazing setting of Tobacco Dock in London’s east end from Thu 1–Sun 4 Nov.

The team behind True OriGINs previously ran a successful Scottish Gin Festival in Aberdeen and now they’re heading south!

The co-founders and brothers, Mungo and Guy Finlayson, are seizing the opportunity that the amazing surge in popularity of Scottish Gin is offering and are planning an event that will engage and educate gin lovers in London on the amazing talent, ingredients and passion that comes from Scottish gin distilleries.

Their plan is to bring some of the best, true Scottish Gins to the festival and tell the stories of their provenance, botanicals and Scottish Spirit to the festival-goers, as they believe that this can only enhance the experience.

We’re excited already – so what can you expect from the event?

On arrival, you’ll get a wristband and ushered in to get a glass where you will be greeted and given a glass and your Scottish Gin Bible (both yours to keep.) You can then explore the 8 different bars at the festival which are split up into regions of Scotland. These are:

  • Islands
  • Highlands
  • Aberdeen & Shire
  • Angus & Fife
  • Perthshire & Stirling
  • Edinburgh & Lothians
  • Strathclyde
  • Lowlands

Exact gin brands are yet to be announced and we think it will be quite a lineup. There will also be amazing food, great music and experienced hosts on hand to answer any questions you have.

The Scottish Gin Society will be there and will bring you all the news from the festival, but if you’re anywhere near London, you will want to go your self, so head over to the True OriGINs website and get your tickets before it sells out!
