Darnley’s Gin launches new gift set

Darnley’s Gin has introduced a perfect gift for gin lovers in a new 20cl gift pack featuring two gins from its range: Darnley’s Original and Darnley’s Spiced. The new gift pack is decorated with Darnley’s signature look using illustrations of the key botanicals across the pack.  

Darnley’s Gin was launched in 2010 by one of Scotland’s longest established and experienced wine and spirits makers, the Wemyss Family (pronounced ‘weems’). Darnley’s Spiced Gin was added to the portfolio in 2012, and the company opened a new gin distillery and visitor centre at Kingsbarns in the East Neuk of Fife in summer 2017.

Darnley’s Original Gin:  inspired by the elderflower growing wild in the grounds of the Wemyss family castle in Fife, this elegant gin uses a distinctive blend of six botanicals including elderflower, coriander and lemon peel, creating a classic juniper-led gin which is fresh, floral and vibrant. Bottled at 40%.  Perfect serve: tonic and a wedge of lime.

Darnley’s Spiced Gin: sparked by the Wemyss family’s spirit of adventure, this gin uses a distinctive blend of ten botanicals including cloves, ginger and grains of paradise. Contemporary in style, it is full and rounded with warm spice notes from cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by a lingering peppery finish. Bottled at 42.7%.  Perfect serve: ginger ale and a slice of orange.

Founder William Wemyss commented: ‘Following the introduction of the 20cl bottles last year, we found that our customers were asking for gift packs and we were happy to oblige.  This is the first of a range of new initiatives from Darnley’s Gin this year which will include a new line of limited edition gins and further experiences at our Visitor Centre.”
