New Scottish Gin “crafted with the spirit of Linlithgow” launches

Husband and wife team Ross and Alyson Jamieson had a dream to bring spirit-making back to the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow, which is steeped in distilling history and 14 months ago they started to realise that dream.

Linlithgow Distillery was established in March 2017 with the aim of producing a gin that Linlithgow could be proud of.  With a background in IT and technology, they decided to create a distillery using modern technology and a novel approach to creating the recipe.

Everything about LinGin has been designed around the wonderful town that they love: The unique skyline is visible on the bottle and label design, the botanicals are locally-foraged and uniquely, their recipe has been influenced and honed by a 100+ strong local tasting panel.  Truly “crafted with the spirit of Linlithgow”.

Production started on 12th January 2018 and the first batch was sold out on a pre-order basis within 48 hours of going up for sale.  The second batch is also well on its way to being sold out pre-production with 7 wholesale stockists already lined up!

They say “It is our aim to have every licensed establishment in Linlithgow and West Lothian stocking LinGin.  The aim is to be stocked in independent wine and spirit sellers, bars, restaurants, gift shops, pubs and clubs all over the country.”

Plans are in place for an official launch of LinGin in February 2018.  We’re looking forward to it!
