New Lilliard Gin School opening near Jedburgh

The distillers at Lilliard Ginnery are launching a new gin experience for all you gin lovers. From September, you will be able to attend a gin school at the distillery, a great chance to learn all about the process, try making your own, and (of course) getting to taste it.

Kate Macinnes from Lilliard says: “We have lots of visitors to our tiny distillery, and people love experiencing all the different flavours and botanicals that can go into making gin, so we thought a natural extension of this was to offer them a chance to get stuck in and make their own. We have a herb garden full of fabulous things, so as well as our extensive collection of dried botanicals, people will get a chance to experiment with fresh ingredients.”

“We start at 12 o’clock (private courses can be at a time to suit you) and will finish by 4pm. Courses will give you the chance to create and distil your own gin, and enjoy gin tastings, plus maybe the odd cocktail. You will leave with a 20cl bottle of your very own gin. Courses are relaxed and fun, but you’ll gain a real insight into the wonderful world of gin!”

All the courses are held at their Ginnery at Born in the Borders, Lanton Mill,  Jedburgh, and places cost £65 per person.  They have two courses open for booking at the moment (more to be added), 2/09 and 7/10 and  are happy to take bookings for private groups.
