Whitetail Distillery
Whitetail is the Isle of Mull’s first new distillery in over 220 years and is the first dedicated gin distillery on the island. Located on the south-western side of the island the distillery is centrally located between the north and south of the island.
Completed in 2019, Whitetail Distillery is located at its family home at Tiroran behind the family’s hotel, Tiroran House Hotel. As well as its small distillery which boasts a handmade 200L still there is a small shop and café which sells a variety of island distilled products including its award-winning Whitetail Gin and range of liqueurs in addition to fantastic home-baking, gin related gifts and barista style coffee (great for the designated driver!)
The location is utterly stunning and very dramatic as well as being in close proximity to a pair of nesting White-tailed Eagles for which the family-owned company takes its inspiration from.
