What to expect at Edinburgh Cocktail Week

It’s happening next week, and cocktail lovers in Scotland’s capital are in for a real treat. Lots of treats actually! So what’s happening and how can you join in? Here’s the lowdown on Edinburgh Cocktail Week.

Wristbands

Get yourself a wristband and you’ll get the VIP treatment at loads of venues and events throughout the week. You’ll also get free entry to The Cocktail Village at Festival Square and The Rooftop Garden at The Glasshouse Hotel. Wristbands cost between £6.98 and £14.98 and you can get yours here.

The Cocktail Village

Following its success last year, The Cocktail Village returns to Festival Square. The social hub of the festival is open from 14th to 20th October and this year it will have a stunning cocktail forest themed extension. Full of amazing pop-up bars, wristband holders can sample cocktails for £4 each.

The Rooftop Garden

We’re so excited about this new feature for 2019!  The fully transparent domes will let you view the city’s iconic skyline, with fairy lights, blankets and cushions while sipping on £4 cocktails. At the stunning location of the roof garden at The Glasshouse Hotel.

The Bars

You can choose from over 70 participating bars in Edinburgh, where wristband holders will be able to enjoy £4 signature cocktails all week long. Check out the bars taking part here.

The Events

As if that’s not enough, Edinburgh Cocktail Week will bring an exciting menu of events to choose from. Ranging from tastings and distillery tours to afternoon tea and parties – even yoga! Take a look at what’s happening here.

It goes without saying that if you’re anywhere near Edinburgh next week and you love a cocktail or two, you’d be mad not to grab yourself a wristband and take in some of this amazing festival with your friends.

There are a lot of events and even more cocktails available, so please make sure you enjoy Edinburgh Cocktail Week responsibly!
