Big Mix is the perfect recipe for Aviemore

The Scottish Gin Society is proud to be a festival partner for The Big Mix, Aviemore – a weekend of live music, Scottish Gin, Cocktails, Whisky, Beer, Art, Crafts and Street Food in the heart of the Cairngorms.

The three-day festival is set to showcase the region’s amazing array of food and drink producers, venues, arts and crafts.

Launching on Friday 20th September with live entertainment at The Bothy Bar, this festival promises to mix it up all weekend in Aviemore!

The Big Mix Main Event is on Saturday in Aviemore Village Green where visitors can enjoy live music, mixology, gin, whisky, beer, art and street food. Choose from afternoon or evening sessions from 12 noon.

Live music features local-based Aviemore artists THE LAIRIG GHRU BAND and KEITH MAIR and joining them are CALUM MACKENZIE JONES and DAVY & SAM COWAN for a great easy listening line-up.

Sunday gives you the chance to chill out and recover in the beautiful surroundings of Aviemore with a choice of Scottish Gin distillery tours, steam train events and festival brunch and afternoon tea at The Highland Line. Perfect!

Throughout the weekend there will be gin-themed specials available from The Highland Line where Big Mix wristband holders will get 10% off.

If you have kids with you, you can take advantage of the Kids Zone on Saturday afternoon at La Taverna Italian restaurant, and a buffet on the Sunday and again, 10% off for wristband holders.

The festival promises to be a weekend to remember for Scottish Gin lovers, with a range of great gins available at all the festival bars.
