Scottish Gin brands shine in round 1 of World Gin Awards

A fantastic number of Scottish Gin brands were highly placed in the first round of The World Gin Awards: the global awards selecting the very best in all internationally-recognised styles of gin.

Round 1 saw the winners from each country selected for the various categories, with the overall category winners “All World’s Best” will be announced on 21 February 2019 along with the award for World’s Best Gin.


Below are the Scottish Gins who were named in each of the categories under the United Kingdom. Huge congratulations to all these brands, and especially to Tanqueray No 10, Makar Cherry Gin and Firkin Oak Aged and Orkney Gin Johnsmas, who were awarded Best in the country in their categories!


Classic Gin Category:

Best: Orkney Gin Johnsmas

The Best in each category as well as the World’s Best Gin will be announced on 21 February 2019 at the Gin Magazine Awards Dinner in London.
