Verdant Spirits
Verdant Spirits Co is Dundee’s first distillery in almost 200 years, founded by Andrew McKenzie in 2017. Dundee has had a long and successful association with the spirits trade, and by founding Verdant Spirits, Andrew has produced the first and only gin that is distilled in Dundee.
Based in a former engine house of one of Dundee’s old mills that housed some of the most cutting edge machinery of its day, Verdant has followed this history of innovation in opting for one of the new generation stills – a 500L iStill “Little Eddie”. Not perhaps the prettiest, but a still that simply performs the best possible job for the production of the best possible spirits.
