Isle of Skye Distillers

Brothers, Thomas and Alistair Wilson, were born and raised on Skye, and had a dream to build the first gin distillery on the Isle of Skye. They used their skills from their established careers, along with lots of dedication, burning the midnight oil, weeks foraging local juniper berries to launch Misty Isle gin early February 2017.

In creating Misty Isle gin, the brothers took inspiration from the local landscape and the Old man of Storr in particular, and each bottle is batch numbered and signed by either Alistair or Thomas. All of the gin is made in Portree and uses the crystal clear spring waters from the Storr Loch just over a mile or so away from the distillery.

At the moment the distillery is not open to the general public but the brothers are planning to open a small visitor centre for 2018.
