Distilling runs through the husband and wife team – Colin and Julie founders of Bloodline Spirits, and producers of Rule Gin. Andrew Usher is an ancestor, and gave so much to distilling and to the Arts, namely Edinburgh’s Usher Hall.

It has taken three years in the making, and the first run was December 2019. Made on a 300 litre copper still named Christa, after Julie’s grandmother.

Although not open for ‘tours’, the distillery offers customers the opportunity to pop in and have a drink at the bar, see production in full flow and buy a bottle of Rule Gin.
