Beinn An Tuirc Distillers

Nestled in the rolling hills of Kintyre in the heart of the Torrisdale Estate lies Beinn An Tuirc distillery. Here they embrace wet weather fully as their 99kw hydro-electric scheme powers the copper still, giving Kintyre Gin its unique eco credentials.

Kintyre Gin is made with two unusual botanicals,  Icelandic Moss and Sheep Sorrel (also used to season pork – a coincidence perhaps when you discover that Beinn An Tuirc gets its name from the Gaelic for ‘hill of the wild boar’!)

To further its commitment to the environment, the distillery pledges to plant a tree in their dedicated woodland area for every case of Kintyre Gin sold.
